I have not been posting because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post pictures. And, I refuse to write blog posts without pictures (however unrelated they may be). BORING. So, this is a test, to see if I have learned anything about how to post pictures, and link to other sites. Bear with me please. Okay! So after creating this place in the blogosphere nearly three weeks ago, I think it is high time I write my first post. I have had the time to post, and I have had the desire (for like 2 years) to have a blog of my very own, but do you know what is holding me back? Perfectionism. I want my first post to be perfect, eloquent, informed and interesting. I realize that this post will probably be none of the above, however sometimes in order to get past the paralyzing fear of imperfection (and in order to learn anything) you just need to DO IT. (Motherhood, I am finding, is continually full of opportunities to surrender my inner perfectionist.) I have been doing all of my bloggy research and brainstorming ideas for posts, so stay tuned. This blog is a place where I intend to impart all of the information and ideas that fill my head about living the best life possible-mostly for me to reflect upon, but also with intention of helping others who are interested. This will include, but will not be limited to: my thoughts on green living, healthy eating, parenting and personal growth. Many a post will probably mention Hope, my almost two year-old, as she is my greatest teacher and the one that inspires me daily to be a better person and live a better life. Our children will inherit the earth, our habits and our health. So why am I on a journey to live better? For Hope’s Sake.
